엄마, 오늘 학교에서 혼났어요.

Mom, I got in trouble at school today.

왜? 무슨 일이야?

What? What happened?

헨리라는 애가 나를 괴롭혔어요.

This boy, Henry, was bothering me.

걔가 어떻게 너를 괴롭혔니?

How was he bothering you?

걔와 걔의 친구들은 나와 켈리를 에워싸고는 비켜서려 하지 않았어요.

He and his friends surrounded me and Kelly and wouldn't move out of the way.

그래서 어떻게 했니?

So what did you do?

전 걔를 찼어요, 그랬더니 걔가 울었어요. I kicked him, and he cried. 뭐라고? 왜 걔를 찼니? What? Why would you kick him?

나는 걔한테 계속 비키라고 말했지만 걔는 그러려 하지 않았어요. 그리고 제 필통을 계단 아래로 던졌어요.

I kept telling him to move out of the way but he wouldn't. And then he took my pencil case and threw it down the stairs.

네가 아무리 화가 나도 발로 차면 안 돼.

You can't kick somebody just because you're mad.

알아요, 하지만 걔한테 진짜로 화가 났어요. I know, but I was really mad at him. 그래서 어떻게 됐니? So what happened afterward? 선생님에게 꾸중을 듣고 쉬는 시간에 교실에서 나가지 못했어요. The teacher found out what I did so I had to stay inside during recess. 그래서 선생님한테 꾸중을 들으니 어땠니? So, how did you feel about getting in trouble from your teacher? 안 좋았어요 하지만 저는 내가 한 것을 후회하지 않아요. Not good, but I don't regret it because he was bothering me too much.
